The topic is not new for those who know well about Xiaomi and their ad issues. Xiaomi has been at the list top selling smartphones in southeast Asia and this is probably due to its pocket friendly pricing. However privacy issues are not new in this brand, it has been their from its initial launch the smartphone market.

Recently smartphones offered the company got some updates in the UI and some system apps including Mi browser. The privacy topic got a spark again when experts showed how the current version of Mi browser (i.e. Mi version 11.9.3) was tracking data from users even when the browser was in incognito. This is a topic of shame for Mi as the update clearly stated that it had 'Enhancements in privacy protection'.

Xiaomi focuses on production of high-end smartphones with comparatively low price. This is the reason it has been liked by many consumers but however the implementation of those high-end technologies costs a lot for Xiaomi so to pay their bills and make their products cheaper at same time they implement a lot of apps and bloatwares on their devices resulting a huge and unlimited source of revenue even after the complete sales of the smartphones.

In recent years Xiaomi started to focus specific ads to consumers according to their behavior and interests for example a sportsperson would always get ads regarding sports and this is when all the problems started. To know about people and their interests Xiaomi had to track their data which directly harms the privacy of consumers.

It is not that only the Mi browser has got the problem it's the whole concept of the company that has brought this issue. Although users get a good price tag on the smartphone its performance gets slightly downgraded because a small portion processors are always occupied to load ads. This also decreases battery life and by default invites heating issues.

So the conclusion is that Xiaomi must bring change in their concept supporting the privacy protection of consumers. Until then it is suggested to buy smartphones from other companies like Samsung which delivers excellent features on same price range with no annoying ads.
