In terms of cellphones after Android and iOS, KaiOS has became the third most popular mobile OS. In overall OS in the world considering Windows OS as the most popular OS KaiOS becomes the Fouth most popular OS in the world .
With its first appearance on 2017 back kaiOS Technologies Inc in San Diego California kaiOS is a Linux based mobile operating system which rose from the Ashes of the Mozilla Firefox OS.
Since its launched kaiOS has been seen in Alcatel go flip phone, Nokia banana phone and India's Jio phone. This thing that makes KaiOS very special is that it makes dumb phones or what we know as feature phones act as a smartphone. Feature phones running and KaiOS have their own App Store, they can support Wi-Fi and 4G LTE
services .
Many people today search for feature phones because they are budget friendly but they need to carry a secondary smartphone ( which may be running on Android or iOS ) as a work phone because
feature phones are really very very dumb.
KaiOS fills the gap between Smartphones and feature phones. many kaiOS phones are powered by Snapdragon chipset and in addition to support HTML5 based apps .
They also have their own app store from which you can download apps for the for the phone.It supports things like Google Assistant which some Android phones still cannot support.
Recently in June 2018 Google has invested US $22 million for KaiOS . KaiOS has already beaten apple in May 2018 in India with the help of a feature phone named Jio phone by Jio mobile network operator on by the Reliance Industries and because Jio phone was from a mobile network operator it was given 4G LTE services for very low cost which was also a cause that made the feature phone a hit.

The only downside of the KaiOS is that it doesn't support a touch screen .We can take KaiOS as a great achievement in the field of feature phones because from now on know feature phones are going to be dumb.
